Calcium hydroxide, also known as calcium(di)hydroxide, slaked lime or hydrated lime, is the result of a beneficiation process in which quicklime is hydrated. This process, slaking, changes lime's properties to such an extent that it virtually produces a raw material in its own right - with new capacities and new fields of application.

Our calcium hydroxides are, for example, used in FGC to reduce air pollution. The hydrate captures the undesired sulphur exhausts and forms calcium sulphate - plaster, in plain English. And this is of such a high quality that it is soon available in a DIY store as drywall.

  And our Oxical® calcium hydroxides are also used in the production of cosmetics, medical drugs, foodstuffs and paper or in the construction industry, always geared to the respective requirements. The reactivity capabilities of this astonishing raw material are as effective as they are inconspicuous.
